Dantooine Ruins

Dantooine, 1021 4360, the ruins are quite old and clearly don't fit with the level of technology the native Dantaris are accustomed. In style, the architecture is reminiscent of the ruins of the Jedi Temple.

I've started to look around for clues, but so far, cursory research hasn't yield any results. I will remain on location for a couple of days, but I assume that I will have to return at a later date with specialized equipment.

Various creatures live in the area, I've noticed voritor and bolma tracks. There's a small creek a little bit further, which I assume is were most creatures go drink. I hope that I may find some elements there as well. It seems a safe bet that whoever built this structure may used the creek for refreshment or recreational purposes....

Treasure Hunting (III)

Treasure hunting is always a fun game element. There's the foraging part (duh), with the dedicated food since the last publish, then there's a corny storyline, then the travel to the waypoint, the searching the area, the extracting the treasure and finally...killing everyone. all those parts are really nice - to me at least - but the favorite is when a Force apparition, well, makes an apparition.

So far, it's only the second time I witness it. And it seems that Jedi with cybernetic limbs spawn them (with a great statistical sample I have). I hope I'll be able to get a good screenshot someday.

Also, I think I'll use this tribune to write a lil' something based on those game sessions...

At any rate, today's pickings were slim. With eight maps, few crystals, plenty of weapons, armor parts and various junk. So no mask, no rare weapons or pearls. Better luck next time.

Restuss Chronicles (V)

In Restuss today, a two men TMB team went to challenge the Emperor's Hand. Assisted with local Imperial Special Forces, the group defeated the Imperial elite agent easily.

However, the truce was short lived. Soon after her defeat, the absence of a common threat to all present enable opposition to resume.

It was a great moment, in spirit and in fun, that this truce was observed and broken so that GCW could take place.

Thanks Body for playing along and for the help in defeating the Hand.

Museum of Natural History (IX)

The Flora room has received a new exhibit from Dantooine, kibla greens can be found while foraging on the planet's surface. These greens are used generally as cooking ingredients.

The kibla greens have a common appearance with many other related vegetables commonly found on the Corellia, Naboo, Rori, Talus, Lok, Tatooine, Dathomir, Yavin IV and Endor.

Research about their specific properties are being investigated, until the results are known, everyone is welcome to go and look at these magnificient vegetables currently on display.

Azure Cabal

This scenario is quite nice to play. Although it has the usual amount of running and shooting, there's an effort to delve into the sw lore and have some interesting interactions with the universe. I should have taken screenshots. I'll do that next time.

Nicer with the screenshots...

While the Azure Cabal (so far) doesn't ring a bell in the general lore, it meshes interestingly with unusual background elements. The Nikto Blood Cult (Cult of M'dweshuu) is not very well known in the general public. Yet, it is as important as the Eyes of Mesra for the Weequay.

Similarly, the encounter with Frosch Industries fleshes well into the sw universe. Clearly a world were corporations behave as small government. Absent from Wookieepedia, Frosch industries and their research on bacta may be an addition to the lore. A welcomed one, since other producers of bacta are not so well known (there's a producer in tapani and there's the planet Thyferra).

Somehow, the Azure Cabal seems to be penned by the same writer as the Legacy quest. Thanks.

Wazzat?

I've read about it in details on the SWG website, I read the ingame feature, and I still have no clues...

What is it, what is it about ? How does (or will) it work ?

Many mysteries in this galaxies justify that the update lasts over an hour...

I guess answers will come in due time...

Ragtag goons macro'ed

This could sound like the name of a dish, but it's only a looting macro in order to get junk loot from Ragtag loons outside Coronet. Hardly a difficult job but a lengthy one. Suffice to say that it could be entirely macro'ed. But for the moment, keeping with the spirit of hard work, only the looting part is macroed. Unlikely to remain like this for the coming days, but heck, at least at the moment, it'll remain this way.

So where's all this loot going ? Well, obviously, for crafting purposes. While Tarn is surely not a crafter -- although in his youth he did an apprenticeship and was quite a good surveyor, and later, crafted his own traps -- he knows of several. So there's an activity.

Museum of Natural History (VIII)

It's a very simple object, yet, for some odd reason, the Museum of Natural History did not have a Creature Habitat. This Creature Habitat, here, populated with glowzees, is displayed in the main room.

It is highly recommended that the glowzees are not released within the Museum as they may damage other exhibits.

TMB's mishappenings (VI)

Skedra Vemid has left the TMB guild without providing an explanation. It is likely that her move follows her recent installation on Naboo and that she moved in with her housemates' guild. As for all TMB alumni, she'll remain welcome and may come back any time to TMB.

Treasure Hunting (II)

A small band adventurers (Tarn Pagott, Skedra, ImAWhat Owoiry, Tarnn Laffar) travelled the reaches of Talus to uncover lost treasures.

The mysterious datadisks containing the information needed for the coordinates were found along the Restuss river banks.

If the hoard was relatively meager, it was nevertheless an enjoyable moment to spend among TMB community members and new acquaintances. Thanks for the group!

Clearing the area

In a moment not unlike the founding of Twin Mountain Base, when the city radius was still minimal and clearing the area from hostile creatures as well as raiding pirates was necessary, Tarn Pagott was asked by Ibaoki Nao to dislodge a camp of marooned pirates set up next to her harvestors. The mission was successfully conducted and access to the harvestors was reestablished shortly thereafter.

House warming

On Sunday, Skedra, TMB guild member, invited Tarn Pagott to a guided tour of her new abode on Naboo, nearby the city of Kadaara. The finely decorated house, equipped with a war room and an armory has a perfect view on a Rebel Alliance Special Forces base.

Unexpectedly, another visitor dropped by but could not enter the premise. Unfortunately for Skedra, he was a bounty hunter sent by her housemate to slain her as soon as she would leave the building. After a quick enquiry, the bounty hunter was tasked after Skedra's housemate was slained by Skedra in a duel.

Thanks for the visit!

Museum of Natural History (VII)

New exhibits have been added to the Museum of Natural History!

Expanding the artifacts section, a Rock Chair is now on display. This intriguing piece of modern furniture from one of Corellia's underground culture, the Meatlumps, is made solely of rock. The rustic comfort it offers is outdone by the chosen material - hence its inclusion in the Museum's exhibit.

In the main hall, curtesy of Ibaoki Nao, a small potted plant, style 2 has been added. This rare decorative plant enriches the displays according to the Museum's silent motto, that the decorations are themselves part of the permanent displays.

These items can now be seen any time, so next time you are in Twin Mountain Base, make sure to drop by and enjoy the sight.

New trader on Kimogila Way

A new shop opened today on Kimogilay Marketplace, Ibaoki's small shop of wonders offers numerous collector goods, varied weapons and equipments - the best prices on the servers! Ibaoki's also an aspiring Chef and will soon supply her outlet with, hopefully, delicious foods. Her interests in Beast mastering and tailoring mean that she may branch out in these fields at some point, but let's not get carried away too fast, as the budding trader still has to master her chosen field.

A Rebel theme park

Aye...Although Mayor Tarn Pagott's latest actions have been dubious from an Imperial standpoint, this time it was for a good cause, helping a fellow guildmember during the early stages of the Rebel Theme Park. It was a success, though a difficult one, which involved numerous trips to the cloning facilities, but TMB prevailed in the end, as always!

It was also an opportunity to welcome Skedra back into the game after a break and exchange pleasanteries.

Down with IG!

On Saturday 9th a mixed group of Rebels and Imperials entered IG-88's facility on Lok and emerged victorious, watching the once mighty assassin droid crawling outside the mouse droid shelf it gave itself, downloading itself like an ugly virus to other venues. No doubt, it will be heard of still, but at least, not in the facility any longer. Nevertheless, it was no easy fight as numerous team members died during the session. Since they managed to come back, they presumably cloned at Nym's and flew back to the camp set outside the instance, unless a 2-1B medical droid was present in the camp. They bravely fought past the guarding elite droids to re-enter the facility.

In the heat of the action, no pictures were taken, it's a shame and really poor reporting...Still, thanks to Avofot, Ricto, and the others for hosting this successful run.

Murky waters

It seems that the path to the Rebellion is getting closer, with the choice of a Rebellion mission at the mission term today.

While the mission itself didn't imply to attack Imperial forces but only assassins, it still rewarded 105 Rebel faction points.

For a long time Tarn Pagott had been considering joining the Rebellion, even mentioning it to known Rebels, this day is approaching, and today was a concrete step in this direction. It will remain to be seen whether this was a one-shot or something that could happen in the near future. More about it soon.

Treasure Hunting

It was raining on Dantooine when Enkarn and Tarn arrived on location. Below the purple flowery fields, laid, according to the information Enkarn had gleaned, a container box with artefacts from Dantooine's Jedi Enclave. With the evening fast approaching, the two men decided to lay camp. The day's travel had been uneventful but tiring nevertheless. Half an hour later, they were seated by the campfire, two droidekas, unloaded from the ship, patrolling the area and their vehicles parked nearby.

At first light, they would proceed to the measurements and calculations required to uncover the box - already listing the various tools needed for such an operation. On some level, the evening was a rare opportunity for small talk and to reminisce about better days. The night's silence was broken by the incessant raining, but everything was quiet. Yet, the two men sat in silence.

Call it instinct, call it the Force, call it both, a sense of imminent danger surrounded the campfire and the entire area. In order not to alert needlessly the other, neither said a word about the feeling, but they had worked too much together not to notice. A simple glance was enough to let the other know.

At first light, the tools they reached for were a long cylinder and a rifle, Enkarn left the lightsaber blade scar the morning air and Tarn quickly knelt to open fire. They were coming. The droidekas welcomed the attackers with a flurry of fire, Enkarn slowly advanced to the charging enemies, deflecting shots and switching stances, Tarn shot over and over again.

Despite the furious assault, the attackers had failed their ambush and had attacked in a disorganised fashion. Most fell quickly, but when the air cleared, one left, his cybernetic limbs and Force enhanced reflexes enabling him for faster movement. Still, as he finally fell, a Force apparition hovered for a quick moment, cursing to eternity the two men.

Ironically, the box' value was not as important as once thought, though it contained a dolovite mask, a minor holocron and jedi relics, these items held no particular knowledge that would ultimately contribute to the Emperor's defeat.

Kashyyyk

The Midryyyl Caves or the Ryatt Trail's Shadowed Land, the Katarn or the Queen Mother, no matter, it was just for the pleasure of visiting these areas - and help complete some missions - that a duo from the TMB community travelled to Kashyyyk, and, when needed, had the support of another TMB community friend, Kohaeg Noubat.

One question should be asked though...how come three "y" often appear in the shryywook language...

Meanwhile other TMB community members were busy collecting holocrons (Af-ro), trading to get some quality equipment (Revelations), or space collecting (Kohaeg).

Mayor Tarn Pagott,

Looks over time

Over time, Tarn has worn various armors, accordingly to his military affiliation.

From top to bottom:

1. Elder Scout, classical wear (a lifetime choice), with Novaldex Optronics.

2. Antarian Ranger with Tusken Rifle.

3. Scout Trooper with scout pistol (the speeder bike is waiting outside).

4. Republic Scout with HK-47 Carbine.

3. Young Scout.

Despite wearing the traditional uniform, certain modifications have been made over time, notably, the use of Ubese gloves (not shown) or non-reglementary footwear. On certain occasions, a composite armor or a bone armor have been worn, but it remained seldom. Finally, during a strange period, Tarn wore his hair short and trim with blue pants, quite similar to jeans (ooc) and sandals.

New look

Tarn's new armored look (which can't be seen here because of an "internal error" in blogger), represents his look as an Antarian Ranger, post Imperial affiliation. With a Recon Marauder Armor and a Tusken Rifle. More very soon...at least, the images.

With the "internal error" fixed, it's easier to describe...

The armor, dark green and tan, is easier to dissimulate in most settings. The Tusken rifle renews with the rifleman tradition (64m, prone, cover) and shows how the Antarian have had procurement issues as far as war material was concerned. Similarly, the choice of AT-RT vehicles from the Clone war era is explained by a cost benefit analysis: cheap vehicles and parts.

The Rangers accumulated a large amount of equipement over time, crates of weapons and armors, medical equipment, facilities, spaceships and vehicles, but beginnings were modest.

Reassigned

After professing his support for a change in leadership in the Empire shortly after the destruction of Alderaan and the dissolution of the Imperial Senate, Tarn Pagott was recalled from Reserve back to active duty and sent to Lok.

General Otto, leading the Lok garrison offered Tarn Pagott a chance to go back in the Reserve provided he mayored an outpost as part of a strategy to retake the planet from Nym with strategically located outposts.

Dark realization

As it happened, it briefly felt as in a cloak and dagger holovid; Enkarn bought Tarn a glass of Aldiss Beverage and headed directly behind the bar toward the back rooms used for storage. The staff didn't seem to notice and Tarn wondered if he used a mindtrick or if he'd simply had paid the staff.

At any rate, he followed. In the dim light of the Bestine cantina, away from prying eyes and accidental eavesdropping, the two men sat and reported on their recent findings.

Enkarn started, the information he brought from Dantooine was most pressing and bore grave consequences. In the past weeks, he had observed Dark Jedi Masters along with their Knights and Acolytes nearby the Jedi temple ruins, until confronting some of them. As he explained, he brought a satchel to himself and delicately reached inside for carefully wrapped small items. In an instant all five laid in front of Tarn: minor Sith holocrons.

"The Emperor is looking for more of these along with some Jedi Relics" he added. The sentence tore into Tarn's reality. Although he had known for a long time, Enkarn's theory about the Empire being ruled by two Sith Lords, he somehow never believed the Emperor to be one, assuming instead that the Empire's leader had gone unfit to govern. But Enkarn was not one to make hasty statements and pressed for evidence, his flawless logic undermined Tarn's belief further. "Do you really think that the Emperor would not know of a recovery operation of that importance? Another Order is replacing the Jedi Order."

However disturbing and ominous this realization was, it somehow strengthened Tarn's resolve. For a time, he had been multiplying meetings with various underworld and criminal groups in order to acquire vehicles, weapons, safehouses and equipment for his Chapter of the Antarian Rangers. The wheels of prudent plannification were gearing into short term action...
