Dantooine: Roads

The Dantooine landscape comprises of many roads and paths, which given the population density is quite surprising. These roads oftentime crisscross a planetary quadrant or extend almost haflway along the planet. Surprisingly, these roads are absent from available cartography and overall maps such as the ones created from a ship sensor's suite do not spot them easily. On the other hand, hand-held location devices and radar indicate quite clearly the roads, even in 1024m magnification.

Why would the Dantari create such roads - oftentimes, carved literally across hills or small mountains, remains to be examined. It is possible that these roads were made from ancient occupants of the planet (Jedi Temple Ruin Culture, Golden Dome Culture, even the Rakata) or are more recent (Spaceborne Culture, Imperial, Alliance).
