Dantooine: Arches & Statues

-6100 4590. A complex of four gates left by the "Golden Dome" culture. The first gates leads to a hidden valley in the hill, the second gate leads to a round clearing, reminiscent of a glade.

There is no visible accessway to the third gate, though it is possible to escalade. The third and fourth gate lead to a decorated standing stone of unusual type. Though, to be confirmed this stone may be present in Dathomir in the Nightsister Cave.

Two Dantari statues are up hill, looking South and overlooking the entire complex.

This site stands out of ordinary observed architectural practices from the "Golden Dome" culture, where previous buildings or passageways made little use of the natural features of the terrain (save for the "Stone Arch & Ruins" site). In addition, the presence of the Dantari statues doesn't appear as an afterthought in the aesthetic balance of the site - rather, it seems that the statues are an integral part of the site. This close combination of the "Golden Dome" culture and Dantari style was observed at the "Tower and Green Fire" site, where it was on a much more integrated scale however, with the face of a Dantari statue embedded in the "Golden Dome" tower.
