The planet Dantooine is filled with ancient ruins - some inexplicable, some reminiscing of the Jedi Temple Ruins in style, shape and material, some belonging to the local Dantari cultures.Dantooine's rich past, occupied by the Rakata in pre-Republic times, hosting the Jedi Enclave, inhabited by a Near-Human species, contributes in making this planet a highly interesting place to explore. Treasures from the Jedi Enclave may be found on the planet, but my interest lies mostly with the structures, with the heritage left and how the Dantari have appropriated them.
The hypothesis I seek to explore is that the local Dantari have inherited knowledge from the Jedi and perhaps from the Rakata.
The Dantari people are divided among four tribes: the Janta, the Kunga, the Mokk and the Raiders - those do not constitute a tribe per se, but seem to play a significant political role in Dantari culture. Despite their loose organisation, the Raiders constitute a local faction all tribes take into account. Relations between the tribes are not always good and skirmishes tend to be frequent.
